Happy Monday!

Happy Monday! Busy day in our NICU and our new unit is up and running. So fun to work with Amy today. She is the best and so talented! Check out her Etsy shop Rosey Chic Boutique on my blog. Wonderful lady and friend.

Came home to a very sick Border Collie. Molly is so old now but still insists on walking up the stairs. She fell today and Jeff and I don't know how long she laid there. Poor baby. Came home to a mess to clean and a very embarrassed dog. Love her so but think that we are fast approaching some end of life decisions. so sad.

Today, let me be reminded of my blessings.

Sweet Mo Molly ( the best dog ever).

My sister. (enough said)

Beaching It

Playing hookie today! Yes, that is right. Hubby and I are skipping work and going to beach. Been a long time since we agreed to have a date in the middle of the week so with the encouragement of our very good friends we are choosing today. I am a little freaked out about the sun and my VERY white legs but I can't imagine I will be the whitest on the beach. Although one never knows. :)

Early in the day but still the gratitude plays on in my heart. I love my life, it's challenges and chaos.

Today at 8 in the morning I am thankful for:

  1. Coffee!!
  2. Having taken care of my every 6 month labs and chest xray yesterday so I could enjoy the beach today.
  3. Walking in faith that my labs and xray are good, clear and cancer free
  4. Free time with my husband
  5. Best friends.

Have a great day all!

I'm back

Hi All,

First let me say I am sorry for being so neglegent about posting. We have had so much going on in our lives the last month that frankly I haven't had time to post but never fear, I am a lurker and still have managed to read all about other peoples lives but not write about my own. :)

Baby Logan is here! Healthy, beautiful and completly wonderful. I love him, I love him, I love him!

Wedding, births, and moving all in one month makes for one tired but so very thankful lady.

Tomorrow we are "beaching" it with friends. Need the break, the sun and the laughter. Okay, and a glass of wine. There I said it!

My grateful list runneth over.

  1. My husband and his ever abundant patience with me, my moods and my lack of camera skills.
  2. Three beautiful grandbabies
  3. Being young enough to run, play and get messy with above babies.
  4. Hannah coming home for the summer ( insert happy dance here )
  5. Beaching it with our friends and playing hookie on a weekday. ( okay, that was two thankful's on one line. )

Today we will welcome baby Logan

I can't believe that after 9 months we are finally going to see our sweet little grandson born. It has been a long 9 months for sure with lots of changes in our life but I feel so incredibly blessed that Tina's pregnancy has gone to term.

Headed up to the hospital this morning for the induction. There is sure to be a big room full of people and for that I will apologize to the nurse in advance. :) We are a loud, in your face, sort of family so I promise to be on my best behavior.

Lets see. Camera check. Games for the boys. check. Prayers. check, check and check. I think we are ready.

My grateful list this morning will begin with

baby Logan.

my sweet daughter in love

family, family, family

a job that I love and that I am calling out on today for this event.

healthy and happy delivery.

Here we go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm Back!

I know it has been awhile since my last blog and believe me it isn't for lack of wanting to get on and update but boy is my life too busy!!

I thought that at the beginning of the new year I would stick to my goal of taking time for me and I must confess I have not. I have been consumed with School work, work, taking care of one very sick puppy and just life. Not apologies just stuff.

Work is better and we are getting more and more babies and my pay check was actually a normal one this week! Whoo Hooo!!!

So many pictures to post. Tina's baby shower was unbelievably beautiful in every way. Pictures will be posted soon. I promise!!

All is Quiet in baby land

Another very quiet day in the NICU. Normally this is great news and I guess to some extent it is but we are giving days off to nurses like crazy!! There goes starting out the new year saving money if you can't make the money! Yikes. My prayer is that if a baby NEEDS to be born PLEASE let it be our place.

Planning the baby shower for Tina and trying to get organized. Wow, it's alot of work but so much fun looking at all the blogs and all the ideas that are out there. Trying to make the day really special for our 3rd grandson and his mommy.

Amber made the Baby Shower invitations! I have them all addressed and ready to go out. Can't wait to get the response to them. Amber really out did herself.

Okay, time for my "Thank-you's"

  1. Crisp cool air. Ahhhh, feels wonderful
  2. Tator Tot and his fuzzy hair
  3. My welcome home club that consist of 4 very happy dog's.
  4. School starting on Monday. ( note sarcasm here )
  5. My husband who thought enough to put my favorite wine in the fridge for me. Oh, and poured it when I got home.

Happy New Year!!!

Jeff and I had a wonderful evening celebrating the end of 2009 and welcoming in 2010. The evening was spent with friends from work and lots of tasty cocktails. Started the new year with full belly's, warm friendships and a kiss from my husband. How could a New Year start any better than that?

As promised I will be Thankful for everyday starting today.

  1. Spending the day surrounded by my family
  2. Rainy, wet weather ( oh how I love it )
  3. Being asked to host my daughter in law's baby shower. ( an honor for me )
  4. Left over New Year's Eve food. Yumm
  5. God's love even when I am not lovable.

Happy New Year !!!!!!!!!
